DJ Steve Goddard had been in the club scene around Kent and SE London since the early 90’s playing a signature hard house sound at house party’s and small venues. Now based in Folkestone, Steve returned to the decks in 2018 after some 20 years in the wilderness, driven by his passion for deep and emotive underground sounds across the genres, in particular tech, breaks, beats and funky house. After a summer of playing at alternative events, pool parties and the fetish scene, Steve was invited onto FunkySX as a DJ / Presenter with a weekly Tech House showcase playing the tunes that piques his interest to a wider audience across Essex and Kent and worldwide. Steve has also been busy promoting underground dance music events in Folkestone with Destination and DJ’ing at events across Kent, Essex, London and around Europe (France, Italy and Malta) for brands including Havin It, Stash Records, Re:Connect, Cat Club, Debauchery, Totally Tech House, Revolve, Disco Departures, Source of Sounds, Dance for Love, Unforeseen Productions, Credence and w0nky, a live collaboration / improvisation between electronic musicians Pleistocene Megafauna, DJ REV and DJ Steve Goddard with synths, samples and DJ's, layers and loops - where electronic musicians and DJ's melodically collide. Steve has played / promoted at events in Maidstone (Social Chill, Banks) Folkestone (The Chambers, Space Bar, Mermaid Beach Cafe, Pilot Beach Bar, 20th Century Speedway, Rocksalt, Cabron, Burstin) Gravesend (Riva Bar, Kent Cocktail Bar) and around London (Union Club, Bunker Club, Ton of Brix, Rolling Stock) and Southend (Cliffs Pavilion, The Foundry, Annies Attic, The Vine).
